Man pleads guilty to Boardman robbery

YOUNGSTOWN — A 20-year-old man pleaded guilty this week to a robbery charge in connection to a July 21 holdup of a Boardman gas station / convenience store.

Christopher Robinson’s appearence in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday headed off a trial next week. Court records show Robinson is to be sentenced 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14. He faces a maximum three-year prison sentence.

Robinson is accused of going to the counter of a Shell gas station, demanding money from the register. The clerk handed over an undetermined amount and the robber left the store, according to police reports.
