He is survived by his sister, Michelle (Jeff); brother J. Nicholas (Kara); grandfather, Donald Bailey; goddaughter and niece, Lillian Simpson; new born niece, Mira William Marsh; parents-in-law Brian and Collette Mapes; brother-in-law Brian (Monica) Mapes; niece Nicoletta; nephew, Oliver Mapes; and many relatives and friends.

Bill was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, and Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky..  After graduating from college, Bill worked with troubled youth at Campbell Lodge and Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.  After moving to Pennsylvania, he continued to work with disadvantaged children at Kid’s Peace.  Bill was passionate about caring for ‘his children’ and always remarked, “I love my job!”

He was an avid football fan and cheered for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  He also enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and University of Kentucky Basketball.  He enjoyed eating wings, Cincinnati Chili and anything from the Boulevard Tavern.  He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Vicky and Spike, collecting wall clocks and could tell you anything you wanted or didn’t want to know about history.  He was extremely proud of his daughter Sabina and excitedly learned to change her diapers, get this dad thing down and read Bill, the Elephant to Sabina.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 29, at 9 a.m. prior to the Mass at St. Charles Borromeo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sabina Marsh Education Fund c/o Lauren Marsh PO Box 3 Fairview Village, PA 19409.
