Man stable after being found inside someone else’s house at 4:30 a.m.

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN — A man was in stable condition Sunday after suffering one or more gunshot wounds and being found inside of a home in the 1600 block of Everett Avenue in the Brownlee Woods area.

A man and woman called 911 at 4:03 a.m. to report a burglary. On the way there, police learned a man was in the house asking for help. They found a man with one or more gunshot wounds and provided aid to him until ambulance personnel arrived, a report states.

The resident and her boyfriend reported that they heard banging on the door. When the man checked, he found the gunshot victim inside the house near the side door. He was bleeding and the window and door had been broken.

The report does not indicate whether the bleeding man was charged with any crimes. A crime-scene investigator was called to the house.
