Wings & Wheels hits tarmac at its new location in Vienna

YOUNGSTOWN — Rose M. Geisler, 36, of Jacobs Road, was indicted Thursday on a felony count of child endangering after her 3-month old son tested positive for cocaine June 8. If convicted, she could get several years in prison.

Geisler called for an ambulance to come to her home that afternoon after she awoke from a nap and found her son wasn’t breathing normally. He also had vomit on his clothing.

The boy was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman and then was flown to Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, where he was in stable condition later.

Geisler said someone had stayed at her house for a couple of nights, and it’s possible the person had cocaine on his fingers and touched her son.

A hospital employee in Boardman told Geisler to remain at the hospital and talk to police, but after the employee called 911 about 5:30 p.m., Geisler left the hospital. Officers went to her home and detained her. Police also searched the home and collected evidence, police said.
