Rescue Mission of Valley offers weekly Bible study

YOUNGSTOWN — The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley is offering a new Bible study ministry open to the public at 6 p.m. Wednesdays focusing on the book of Revelation.

John Muckridge III, the mission’s CEO, is leading it.

He said this will be an ongoing, in-depth study in which participants will walk verse by verse through a complicated book of the Bible. Muckridge will provide teaching, insight and explanation of how this portion of Scripture is still relevant today.

“In the Bible, a ‘valley’ is often a place where judgment would fall, battles would rage and death reigned supreme. The Bible also teaches that it is in the ‘valley’ where the Lord would use His word to bring mercy, peace, and life,” Muckridge said.

He said the purpose of The Valley Bible Study “is to offer those of us who call the Mahoning Valley home and aren’t plugged into a healthy Bible teaching church a place to study the Word of God and find the mercy, peace and life we need to carry us through the valleys we find ourselves in.”

Study sessions will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and last approximately 45 minutes.

Attendance is free, and no registration is required. Parking is in the front of the mission, and participants will enter via the administration doors in the center of the building.
