WHAT: City council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Bonnie Viele, Michael Mogg, Robin Zambrini, Cathy Cummings, Jerome Crowe, Michael Kerr, Ryan Hallapy and Mayor Ben Kyle

Council:

• Announced Boy Scouts, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and community members will help clean the cemetery and place flags on veterans’ graves May 28;

• Announced a police memorial service is set for 2 p.m. today at the safety center and in case of rain, at council chambers;

• Announced a flag-retirement ceremony with Boy Scouts is set for 8 p.m. Friday at Harding Park;

• Announced a Memorial Day ceremony 10 a.m. May 30 starting on Princeton Avenue and traveling to Hubbard Union Cemetery and then to the war memorial at the center of town;

• Announced tire recycling will be 9 a.m. to noon today at the Hubbard Township road department.
