Man shot in head drives to hospital
YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 18, drove himself to the hospital after being shot in the head.
He told police he had just backed his mother’s car into a driveway on Pasadena Avenue on Sunday afternoon when he saw a black car coming down the street. It had two people inside it he didn’t know wearing black masks. A passenger rolled down the window and fired, then left the scene.
The man said he called for an ambulance for himself, but it did not come fast enough, so he drove to his mother’s house and told her someone had shot him
in the left side of his
head.
The man drove as they made their way to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he was treated.
When officers arrived at the hospital, they saw that the victim’s vehicle had two bullet holes in the right front door. One bullet grazed the front passenger fender and hood and two bullet holes were in the driver’s head rest. The front passenger window was shot out, a police report said.
The victim spoke to police, but a police report did not indicate how serious his injury is.
