Arrest warrant issued for suspect in teen’s killing on S. Side

YOUNGSTOWN — An arrest warrant has been issued for Carlos Flores, 18, in the July 18 shooting death of Reshaud Biggs Jr., 17, at Gateway Gas Mart, 3216 South Ave.

The warrant was filed Wednesday in Youngstown Municipal Court. Flores apparently has not been arrested as he is not listed as being in the Mahoning County jail.

Police found Biggs face down in the gas station parking lot with a gunshot wound when they arrived for the 10:03 p.m. call.

He had been shot in the head while at a gas pump.

He was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the emergency room staff.

Biggs, known as “Shaudy,” was a senior at Ursuline High School where students held a memorial for him last week.

His death is Youngstown’s 17th homicide of 2021. It had 28 homicides in 2020.
