Officials ID two dead in Columbiana County mobile home fire
WEST POINT — Two people and a dog were found dead in a Madison Township mobile home after a fire broke out Tuesday evening.
West Point fire Chief Wayne Chamberlain said firefighters were called by a neighbor at 8:33 p.m. to the home at 44100 Y and O Road. The flames were swiftly doused leaving damage to the living room and kitchen.
A man, identified as 59-year-old Jeffrey Allen Dawson, and a woman, identified as 55-year-old Connie Dattilio, were both found dead in the bedroom. Coroner’s investigator Wade Boley said Thursday the coroner has not yet ruled on a cause of death, but no foul play is suspected.
