WHAT: County commissioners meeting Jan. 21

PRESENT: Mauro Cantalamessa, Niki Frenchko and Frank Fuda

Commissioners:

• Acknowledged the need to replace Leslie Morris on the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board following her death;

• Approved a change order submitted by Marucci and Gaffney Excavating Company of Youngstown for the Pritchard Ohltown Road bridge replacement project, adding an additional $30,000, bringing the total of the project to $428,884;

• Approved an agreement with MS Consultants of Youngstown for professional engineering services for the county’s bridge inspection program, at a rate of $193,299 for 2021, $198,051 for 2022 and $202,923 for 2023, with a plus cost amount of $20,000 each year, on the recommendation of the Trumbull County engineer;

• Ratified the 2020 annual county highway system mileage certification at 456.707 miles;

• Granted permission to the TAG Law Enforcement Task Force to apply for a 2021 Recovery Ohio Grant through the Office of Criminal Justice Services.
