Three hospitalized after Vienna crash

VIENNA — The Ohio State Highway Patrol Warren Post is investigating a Thursday afternoon two-vehicle accident at state Route 82 and Niles-Vienna Road that sent three people to the hospital.

A patrol report states a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Patricia Nicastro, 79, of McDonald, was heading south on Niles Vienna Road around 1:30 p.m. when she failed to yield the right of way and was struck in the left rear by a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville being driven by Maggie Raush, 19, of Masury.

The vehicle driven by Nicastro came to rest in the intersection and the vehicle driven by Raush continued westbound for a short distance before coming to a rest in the road, the report states.

Raush was transported to St. Joseph Warren Hospital with minor injuries and Nicastro and her passenger, Ralph Nicastro, 85, also of McDonald, were transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with serious injuries.
