Man indicted in rape

YOUNGSTOWN — An Austintown man was indicted Wednesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on three counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery involving a teenage girl.

If convicted, Juan D. Perez of South Roanoake Avenue could get more than 30 years in prison. The indictments allege the acts took place around Dec. 14, 2019.

Others indicted are:

• Korie R. Ball, 19, of 13th Street, Sebring, three counts aggravated drug trafficking, two counts aggravated drug possession, and one each count drug possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, all with forfeiture specifications;

• Sheade J. Robinson, 25, of Mahoning County Adult Justice Center, heroin possession, cocaine possession, drug possession, two counts selling, purchasing, distributing or delivering dangerous drugs, and failure to appear;

• Brandon D. Battle, 22, of Mahoning County Adult Justice Center, being a felon in possession of a firearm and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle;

• Shane A. Trainer, 35, of East Indiana Avenue, Sebring, four counts aggravated drug trafficking, all with forfeiture specifications, three counts being a felon in possession of a firearm, one count aggravated drug possession with a forfeiture specification, one count illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal cultivation of marijuana;

• Levon O. Jackson, 26, of Dover Road, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon;

• Michael C. Sharp, 45, of North 14th Street, Sebring, two counts aggravated drug trafficking;

• Roberta Saltsman, 49, of Market Street, two counts theft of drugs;

• Clayton Carpenter, 26, of Fairlawn Heights, Warren, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business;

• Michael S. Beane, 34, of East Indiana Avenue, Sebring, two counts aggravated drug trafficking;

• Alvin P. Traylor III, 53, of Ferndale Avenue, two counts cocaine possession;

• Jessica Y. Adams, 33, of Euclid, illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified government facility, aggravated drug possession, child endangering and contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child;

• Shane C. Champney, 37, of Mahoning County Adult Justice Center, escape.
