BB / BS USE VIDEO: During the time of social distancing, school closings, and stress related to the coronavirus crisis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley are using video interviewing for prospective Big Brothers and Big Sisters. They and their Littles will only communicate virtually until after the coronavirus precautions are lifted.

BUMC TO LIFE STREAM: Boardman United Methodist Church will live stream its Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 p.m. today on the BUMC Facebook page. A Good Friday service will be livestreamed at 12:15 p.m. Friday on the church Facebook page. The Easter Sunday service will be live-streamed at 10 a.m. Sunday. These services will also be available on the church website: boardman methodist.org

FOOD DISTRIBUTION: The Salvation Army of Mahoning County, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, will have a food distribution from 10 a.m. to noon Friday with assistance from the Ohio National Guard. The organization has seen a significant increase in the number of hungry people in need of food during the coronavirus pandemic. The Salvation Army has received assistance from Second Harvest Food Bank. Food distributions occur from 10 a.m. to noon every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown. Financial donations may be made to the Salvation Army website or text MCASOH to 41444.
