Plan for daycare facility on West Side rejected
YOUNGSTOWN — The city’s Zoning Board of Appeals rejected a request to turn a closed restaurant on the West Side into a daycare facility.
Kyara Austin requested various changes Tuesday to turn the former Open Hearth Grill at 207 Steel St. into a day-care facility.
Austin requested a reduction in setbacks as well as a reduction in the number of off-street parking spots from 15 spaces to zero.
The board rejected the request.
