WHAT: Eagle Joint Fire District organizational meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Marianne Hallapy, Mike Pieton, Rick Hernandez, Mike Kerr and Paul Aaron

Board members:

• Appointed Marianne Hallapy as board chairwoman and Mike Pieton as board vice chairman;

• Appointed Mike Pieton as head of the personnel and training committee; Mike Kerr as head of the finance committee; Paul Aaron as head of the property and equipment committee; and Rick Hernandez as head of the legislative issues committee;

• Reappointed John Morris as the board clerk;

• Approved allowing fire Chief Ron Stanish to explore bids for exercise equipment to house at the station for the firefighters to use. This is a recommendation of the National Fire Prevention Agency;

• Approved sending all HAZMAT bills to attorney David Comstock per protocol;

• Approved allowing the Eagle Joint Fire District to hold basic EMT classes at the station. A budget has not yet been set;

• Approved updating and revising the original bid postings for two fire engines that are up for sale. The minimum reserve must be met in order for the bid to be considered;

• Approved paying $2,795.35 to Warren Fire Equipment for services, tests and inspections, $5,282 to Hudson Communication for 12 pagers and equipment, $271 to Hudson Communication for batteries and chargers and $750 to Josh Wilson for labor;

• Presented Mike Kerr with a plaque to honor his 25 years of service with the Eagle Joint Fire District.
