LIBERTY– A commercial vehicle overturned about 5:10 p.m. Monday on the Interstate 80 eastbound entrance ramp from state Route 11 southbound in Liberty Township.

William Blackmon, 62, of Moorhead, Miss., was driving a 2015 Kenworth tractor with a new Wabash semi-trailer when he traveled onto the left shoulder, struck the guardrail and overturned onto its left side.

The I-80 eastbound entrance ramp from Route 11 southbound was closed but reopened upon removal of the tractor-trailer. Blackmon received minor injuries and was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. He was charged with failure to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.

The Liberty Township Police Department, the township fire department and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted.
