AUSTINTOWN — One juvenile male was sent to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center after reportedly stealing a dirt bike from an Austintown resident sometime during the day Monday.

A resident in the 5600 block of Tulane Avenue came home about 5:30 p.m. Monday to find the front door forced open, a window broken and the garage door up, according to a police report.

An orange 2002 Honda dirt bike was reported missing, and the officer saw what appeared to be a tire mark in the grass leading west from the driveway.

A neighbor reported seeing a middle school-age boy carrying a metal rod down Tulane Avenue earlier that day.

The boy was arrested, and the dirt bike recovered, according to police.
