YOUNGSTOWN — A Youngstown man was indicted Thursday in a November 2018 slaying of a Warren man on the city’s East Side.

Brian Donlow, 24, of Youngstown, is charged with aggravated murder, murder, attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, and possession of a weapon as a felon. All of the charges except the weapons charge carry a firearm specification, which each carry a mandatory three-year prison term.

Christopher Jackson, 21, of Warren, was found shot to death in the early morning hours of Nov. 18, 2018, in a car with its motor running that was parked in a open area at Bennington and Stewart avenues, according to police reports. Another man was wounded.

Also facing multiple charges in the same murder case are Stephon Hopkins, 23, and Lorice Moore, 22.

Moore was secretly indicted in January and has a jury trial scheduled for Nov. 12 before Common Pleas Judge Anthony M. D’Apolito, according to court records.

Hopkins also has his case pending before Judge D’Apolito, with court records showing an evidence suppression hearing set for Dec. 11.

Jackson and the other man were shot after they picked up the three defendants, according to police reports. An argument started while they were driving and shots were fired, one hitting the driver, with the other shot killing Jackson. Police said the wounded driver had run away from the scene.

Hopkins and Donlow also face charges in the June 20, 2018, shooting death of Brandon Wylie, 30. Police reports state Wylie’s body was found in the early hours outside the Plaza View apartment complex.
