YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 24, was in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after being shot in the leg in a home in the 1500 block of Walden Court on the West Side.

When police arrived Wednesday night, they observed the victim to have a single gunshot wound to the left leg. Witnesses said the shooter left the scene in a black GMC vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Police later found the GMC and police took the driver, Wayne L. Martin, 39, of Tod Lane, to the Mahoning County jail after discovering he had a felony domestic violence warrant in Youngstown Municipal Court from an incident that occurred Monday.

As of Thursday afternoon, Martin did not have any additional pending charges at Youngstown Municipal Court.
