Mon. 10:56 a.m.: Mavericks coming to Packard

The Mavericks will play Packard Music Hall on Sept. 18 in support of its 2020 album “En Espanol.”

The band has released 12 albums since its self-titled debut in 1990 that blend country, Tex-Mex and rockabilly influences, but “En Espanol” is the group’s first all-Spanish album.

The band won a Grammy Award in 1995 and is a two-time winner of vocal group of the year from the Country Music Association and a two-time winner of top vocal group from the Academy of Country Music.

Lead singer Raul Malo and drummer Paul Deakin have been with the band since its inception, and keyboard player Jerry Dale McFadden has been a member since 1994. They’re joined in the current lineup by drummer Eddie Perez.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $32.75 to $78 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Packard box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password PACKARD.
