Cooper, Frehley team up for Youngstown amp date
Alice Cooper and Ace Frehley will play the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on Sept. 27.
It’s the first national tour announced for the downtown Youngstown venue this year.
Cooper, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has performed at both the Covelli Centre and Packard Music Hall in recent years. His latest album, “Detroit Stories,” was released in February.
Frehley, co-founder of KISS and a Rock Hall inductee, is touring in support of his latest album, “Origins, Vol. 2.”
In the press release announcing the 26-city tour, Cooper says, “We’ve always had fun touring together and it should be a heavy rock show with Ace and a great way to get everyone back to live concerts again. It should be a great night of virtuoso guitars!”
Tickets range from $39.50 to $125 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: YTOWN.
