CANFIELD – The 174th Canfield Fair has been canceled over concerns of the viral outbreak.

George Roman, director of grandstand entertainment and concessions, confirmed just before noon today the fair board made the decision to cancel the fair Monday night. The fair will continue with its junior fair.

“We stretched out as long as we could,” he said, regarding the decision.

The fair’s website has a countdown to next year’s event, scheduled for Sept. 1-6.
