Ohio’s 2 p.m. update: Another Mahoning County resident dies from COVID-19

COLUMBUS — There are 19 COVID-19 deaths in the state, including a second death in Mahoning County, the Ohio Department of Health reported today in its 2 p.m. daily update.

That’s up from 15 Thursday.

There are two deaths in Mahoning, and one each in Trumbull and Columbiana counties. There was one in each county Thursday.

The other deaths are four in Miami, two each in Cuyahoga, Franklin, Lucas and Stark counties, and one each in Erie, Gallia and Summit.

Also, there are 1,137 confirmed cases in the state today, up from 867 Thursday.

There are 68 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mahoning County today, up from 52 Thursday.

There are 17 confirmed cases in Trumbull County, up from 12 Thursday.

In Columbiana County, there are seven cases, up from five a day earlier.

Statewide, 276 people have been hospitalized as of today, up from 223 Thursday.

There are 107 people in intensive-care units with COVID-19, up from 91 Thursday.
