Mon. 3 p.m.: Two indicted in 2018 Youngstown triple homicide

YOUNGSTOWN — Shaiquon Sharpe of Columbus and Taquashon Ray, of Youngstown, both 23, have been indicted and are in custody for the Nov. 7, 2018, shooting deaths of an infant, woman and man at the corner of Gibson and Pasadena avenues.

Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul Gains, Police Chief Robin Lees and Mayor Jamael Tito Brown announced the indictments Monday at the prosecutor’s office.

Sharpe and Ray were secretly indicted last week by a Mahoning County grand jury on aggravated murder and other offenses that could result in prison sentences of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Killed were Edward Morris, 21, Valarcia Blair, 19, and Tariq Morris, 3 months.
