Briarfield, a senior living company, announced that the Ohio Assisted Living Association Honoring Excellence winner Jeannette Albert is from its location at The Inn at Ironwood in Canfield.

This award is given annually to outstanding employees that demonstrate vision, innovation, leadership and compassion in their role. The Ohio Assisted Living Association represents more than 550 licensed assisted living communities.

Albert won the award as Outstanding Administrative Assistant.

Winners are nominated by their community and selected by a committee of the Ohio Assisted Living Association Board of Trustees.

TRAIN OPEN HOUSE: Model trains of all shapes and sizes can be seen at the Youngstown Model Railroad Association Fall open house from noon to 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 at the club at the corner of Raccoon Road and Four Mile Run Road in Austintown.

The Youngstown Model Railroad Association is one of the few clubs in the country that has two complete displays, O-scale and the smaller HO. Both extensive layouts feature more than 100 scale miles of track each.

A charge of $5 per person is requested. Children 11 and younger are admitted free.
