YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Business & Professional Women’s Club is focusing its March monthly business meeting on equal pay topics in lieu of its traditional Equal Pay Day Awareness social mixer event, due to the viral outbreak.

The club will feature talking points on the state of equal pay topics and discuss paths for supporting continued progress. YBPW also plans to match member donations to support the local equal pay promotion efforts of the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown.

Members and guests will be able to attend the hybrid meeting in person with limited capacity, or join the conversation through a Zoom meeting link. Attendees are encouraged to wear red to show how woman are “in the red,” earning an average of 82 cents to every $1 the average man earns.
