Gas prices increase in region
WARREN — The average price for gasoline across northeast Ohio is 16 cents higher this week at $2.30 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
In the Warren-Youngstown area, the average is $2.21 per gallon and in Niles, $2.36. This week last year, the region’s average price was $2.63 per gallon.
The national gas price average increased 5 cents to $2.23 after Hurricane Laura made landfall in the South. The national average is 5 cents more than last month and 35 cents cheaper than a year ago, according to AAA.
