US energy official to speak at local event
YOUNGSTOWN — Steve Winberg, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy for fossil energy, will speak Sept. 3 at the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber’s annual Salute to Business breakfast.
He joins previously announced speaker Majida Mourad, vice president of government relations at Tellurian, Inc.
Winberg, nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate in 2017, is responsible for the management and oversight of fossil energy’s research development program, which includes coal, oil and natural gas, as well as the Office of Petroleum Reserves.
