YOUNGSTOWN — Home Savings Bank in Youngstown will be rebranded Premier Bank in July.

The new name is part of a merger with First Federal Bank of the Midwest in Defiance and upcoming integration of the two bank systems, according to Wednesday’s announcement. The 77 branches will start adopting the Premier Bank name and new branding in June with the transition expected to done by the middle of July.

“This name change will bring additional consistency throughout our entire footprint and an elevated promise to deliver the best in community banking,” said Gary M. Small, president of First Federal Bank and Home Savings Bank.

The deal worth approximately $473 million won regulatory approval in January. The new company is projected to have assets of about $6 billion and operations throughout Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia,.
