BRITE ADDS FINANCE MANGER: BRITE Energy Innovators, Ohio’s only energy tech incubator, has hired Deanna Hamilton as finance manager. This position was added in response to a growing organizational need for financial expertise and to streamline operations.

Hamilton, a certified public accountant, comes to BRITE with more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience. She has managed accounting functions for companies in a variety of industries, including oil and gas exploration, manufacturing and professional service organizations. In addition, she has created and run several small businesses.

Previously, Hamilton served as a senior accountant for Belden and Blake Corp. in North Canton and currently manages accounting for Covenant Petroleum and Scribe Public Relations, both based in Leetonia. Most recently, she served as firm administrator at Byler Wolfe Lutsch & Kampfer in Salem.

She lives in Columbiana County with her husband and three children, whom she homeschools.

LOCAL MAN LAUNCHES AD AGENCY: Logan Foster, 2013 valedictorian of East Palestine High School, has launched LTF Digital, a remote boutique digital advertising agency, in New York City.

LTF specializes in media buying across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat and LinkedIn.

He has worked on the digital marketing for several high-profile Broadway productions and has managed digital campaigns for The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Metropolitan Opera. Locally, Logan has worked on the marketing for Youngstown’s Y Live, Covelli Centre, Packard Music Hall and the Canfield Fair. He works full-time now in digital marketing for Knock, a real estate startup.

BETA GAMMA SIGMA INDUCTS MEMBERS: The Youngstown State University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma in the Williamson College of Business Administration recently inducted 49 business students.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the world’s premiere business honorary reserved exclusively for schools accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

BGS spans more than 190 countries. To be eligible, business students must be in the top 10 percent of the sophomore, junior or senior classes or the top 20 percent of the master’s program.

Students installed included Nicholas Bianco, Joseph Capezzuto, Gianna Hlebovy, Erica Lehn, Nichole Noday, Jeffrey Senediak and Ryan Sheffield of Austintown; John Anzevino, Simone Comer and Emilee Smrek of Boardman; Michael Rea of Campbell; Ricardo Cruz, Katherine Gamble, Laura Lamanna and Seth Opladen of Canfield; Madison Chapman of Columbiana; Zachary Hall of Cortland; Jessica Dohy, Angela Frazis and Leslie Phillips of Girard; Kendyl Buckley and Karlis Larson of Howland; James Ellcessor, Kent Kroynovich and Dillon O’Hara of Hubbard; John Bates of Kinsman; Kathleen Weaver of Liberty; Connor Fortune of McDonald; Jenna Binsley of New Springfield; Ryan Turnbull of North Lima; Colin Barrett, Lauren Burt and Marcy Grossen of Poland; John Huegel of Warren; and Madison Harrington of Youngstown.

In addition, three students were given 2nd Recognition Certificates for meeting BGS standards as both an undergraduate and now as a graduate student: Courtney Lockshaw and Amanda Slattery of Boardman and Vincent Krpicak of Poland.

The ceremony marked YSU’s 21st induction. The Williamson College has now inducted 920 students.

In addition, adviser William G. Vendemia, professor of management in the Williamson College of Business Administration, was recognized as Beta Gamma Sigma Adviser of the Year.
