Gas prices end year higher

WARREN — The average price for gasoline across Northeast Ohio is 14 cents higher this week at $2.62 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.

In the Warren-Youngstown area, the average is $2.58 per gallon. In Niles it is $2.66 per gallon.

The average for the region for this week was $1.90 per gallon.

Across the U.S., a year-end increase in road travel due to the holidays helped to push the national average up 4 cents.
