SENIOR CITIZENS


1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at Bedford Trails Colf Course at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Austintown AARP Chapter 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. The speaker will be Shari Harrell from the Community Foundation. She will talk about the foundation’s work with charity organizations. Hostesses will be Sue Mayerchak, Margaret Lorimer and Lillian Riley. Illnesses among members should be reported to the hospitality secretary, Delores Lettera, at 330-793-3094. New members of the national AARP are invited to join for annual dues of $5. The Noteables, a senior choir, is a part of this chapter. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday (except the second Tuesday of the month) at 1 p.m. Chapter meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. All meetings and rehearsals take place at the Austintown Senior Center.

Holy Family Seniors Group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 18 at Holy Family Parish Hall, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Lunch is $4 per member and will be served at noon, followed by bingo and card games. Members are reminded that meetings will be canceled during the winter months if the weather is too cold or snowy for safe travel. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Senior Citizens of Youngstown will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday. President John Mascardine will preside. There will be lunch and games.

PERI, Trumbull County Chapter 56 will host its monthly meeting at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 North River Road NE, Warren, (a new location). Sears Friendship Club will meet at noon Monday at What’s Cookin’ on South Avenue in Boardman.

UFCW Local 880 Retirees will host a Valentine’s Day breakfast at Davidson’s Restaurant at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The event will include raffle prizes and bingo. New retirees are welcome. The St. Patrick’s Day party will take place at 1 p.m. March 12 at Cafe 422 in Warren. For information, contact Karen at 330-502-2103.
