Easterseals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.

Wednesday, Aug. 14: Diced chicken, biscuits with gravy, cooked carrots, peas, juice and milk

Thursday, Aug. 15: Turkey burger on a whole-grain bun, baked beans, green beans, pineapple and milk

Friday, Aug. 16: Omelet, tater tots, broccoli, juice, whole-grain bread, cookie and milk

Monday, Aug. 19: Chicken taco on a whole-grain shell, fiesta beans, cooked carrots, applesauce and milk

Tuesday, Aug. 20: Monterey Jack white macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, peas, peaches, whole-grain bread and milk

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Aug. 14: Diced chicken salad with balsamic dressing (alt.: diced turkey), dinner rolls with margarine, mandarin oranges, mini loaf or graham crackers and milk

Thursday, Aug. 15: Sweet and sour meatballs (alt.: haddock), bread with margarine, brown rice, green beans, fruit juice, forest pear gelatin or sugar-free gelatin and milk

Friday, Aug. 16: Fish sandwich with cheese, tartar sauce and bun (alt.: barbecued pork riblet), sweet potato wedges, pepper slaw, warm applesauce, sherbet or vanilla wafers and milk

Monday, Aug. 19: Salisbury steak with gravy (alt.: creamy chicken), bread with margarine, whipped potatoes, peas, pears, ice cream or graham crackers and milk

Tuesday, Aug. 20: Cold tuna salad on bun (alt.: turkey and cheese), potato salad, cucumber tomato salad, fresh orange, regular or sugar-free gelatin and milk
