Easterseals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Oct. 10: Meatloaf with gravy, mixed vegetables, juice, wheat bread, cookie and milk

Thursday, Oct. 11: Teriyaki chicken, diced potatoes, carrots, pineapple tidbits, bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, Oct. 12: Pizza burger, corn, green beans, applesauce, cookie and milk

Monday, Oct. 15: Swedish meatballs, penne, yellow squash, green beans, wheat bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, Oct. 16: Soft taco wrap, pinto beans, corn, tropical fruit, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Oct. 10: Meatloaf marinara with mozzarella topping, bread with margarine, whipped potatoes, Parmesan corn, pears, sherbet or graham crackers and milk

Thursday, Oct. 11: Cold Greek chicken salad, mixed greens with Italian dressing, dinner rolls with margarine, peaches, mini muffin or vanilla wafers and milk

Friday, Oct. 12: Pineapple glazed ham, bread with margarine, mashed sweet potatoes, Harvard beets, applesauce, regular or sugar-free gelatin and milk

Monday, Oct. 15: Meatballs marinara, cheesy baked ziti, roll with margarine, Italian green beans, Caesar salad with dressing, mixed fruit, brownie or angel food cake and milk

Tuesday, Oct. 16: Barbecued pork ribette, bun, warm potato salad, baked beans, fresh fruit, mini loaf or vanilla wafers and milk
