Scholarship golf outing planned

The Officer Justin Leo Scholarship Fund Golf Outing will take place June 3 at Bedford Trails Golf Course.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the 2019 Justin Leo Memorial Scholarships, which are awarded to Girard High School seniors.

Leo was killed in the line of duty in October of 2017 when he responded to a domestic violence call.

The first round starts at 8 a.m., and check-in is at 7:30. The second round starts at 2 p.m., with check-in at 1:30.

Teams can have up to four players.

The outing offers beer, pop, a boxed lunch and dinner, prizes, a 50-50 raffle and an auction in addition to 18-holes of golf.

Cost is $70 for a single entry and $280 for a team entry. Those interested also can choose to get just the boxed dinner for $25.

Entry forms and fees must be paid by May 20.
