Toys for Tots
Greenwood Chevrolet is a local sponsor of the Trumbull and Mahoning County Marine Toys for Tots campaign. An entry for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card will be provided to each participant for every $10 toy donated. The drawing will take place Monday; winner need not be present. New, unwrapped gifts can be dropped off in the showroom, service department or collision center at Greenwood Chevrolet on Mahoning Avenue. Deadline to drop off toys is Friday. Society to host dinner, concert Saturday
The Mercer County Historical Society, 119 South Pitt St., will host its annual Christmas concert and dinner Saturday.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. in the library of the Anderson Building and move to the social hall (basement) of the Helen Black Miller Memorial Hall for the dinner at 6. At 7, the event will move upstairs to the sanctuary for the concert, and at 8:15, guests will return downstairs and conclude the evening with a cookie and punch reception.
The meal will feature a classic turkey Christmas dinner and the cost is $12. Make reservations for the meal at the society or call 724-662-3490 by noon today. The open house and concert portion of the event are free.
Club to host craft and vendor show
The 20/9 Radio Club will host its sixth annual holiday craft and vendor show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. There will be 80 tables of crafters and some direct sale vendors.
Admission is free, and the facility is accessible. The event will feature raffles, a 50-50 drawing and food available for purchase. The 20/9 Radio Club, Inc. is a nonprofit, amateur radio organization serving the Mahoning Valley with communications for events and emergencies. PSP hosts toy drive
The Pennsylvania State Police Mercer Station, 826 Franklin Road, will host a toy drive through Dec. 17. Drop off new, unwrapped toys in the lobby of the station.
Apostolakis collecting toys for the holidays
Apostolakis Honda in Cortland and Shenango Honda in Hermitage, Pa., is collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Marines Toys for Tots program through Friday. Both locations also are conducting in-store food drives until Dec. 16.
Shenango Honda is accepting donations of nonperishable food items for the Community Food Warehouse in Mercer County. Apostolakis Honda will accept donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Donations will be accepted during regular business hours which include Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Christmas lights tours available
The Quakertown Trolley Christmas Lights tours will take place at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 and Dec. 20. For reservations, call 330-337-6733.
The Salem Historical Society also will host Candlelight Tours, 208 S. Broadway, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
