Coming off big wins the day before, the Canfield High School swimming and diving team hosted its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser at the high school cafeteria Jan. 8.

The annual all-you-can-eat breakfast included pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, milk and orange juice, with team members taking shifts clearing tables, washing dishes, serving food, selling 50/50 raffle tickets and making sure everyone had enough to eat.

Swim team booster club parents organized the event and were put to work in the kitchen to cook all the food for the breakfast.

“It’s nice to see so many people come out to support our team,” said Christy Wellham, booster club president. “This is all for the kids and they enjoy doing it. Luckily, the weather cooperated with us this year and we have had a great turnout. It’s really great to see the families of former swimmers come out to still support the team. That means a lot to us.”

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the team.
