Sorority plans scramble as scholarship benefit

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has scheduled its Red and White Scholarship Golf Scramble for June 20 at Bedford Trails Public Golf Course, 713 Bedford Road, Lowellville.

Registration will begin at noon and play will get under way with a shotgun start at 12:30. The fee for golfers is $70 each and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, brunch on the turn, dinner and beverages.

An instructional clinic will be provided for nongolfers. The fee of $30 entitles them to the meals, beverages and entertainment.

There will be a variety of prizes and first- and second-place team awards for golfer, and the day will include music and a 50-50 raffle.

The registration deadline is June 15. Checks should be made payable to Youngstown Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Delta Golf Outing, P.O. Box 1455, Youngstown, Ohio 44501. Proceeds from the outing will benefit the Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship Fund.
