Poland Rotary invites area golfers to chip in

COITSVILLE — The Poland Rotary Annual Community Golf Outing will take place this year on Aug. 16 at Bedford Trails Golf Course, 713 Bedford Road, to raise funds for local charities.
The event, a four-person scramble format, is open to all businesses and the general public and will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
The cost of $75 per golfer includes coffee and doughnuts, 18 holes and a cart, beverages, and a steak dinner. For $25, dinner and beverages only are offered. Reservations and fees are due Aug. 4.
Door prizes, a 50-50 raffle and hole-in-one prizes, including $10,000, also will be featured.
William Miner is chairman of the outing, and Carrabba’s is this year’s sponsor.
Rotary International, a group of business and professional leaders and politicians, organizes and operates many community service activities. Among the organizations the Rotary supports are Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown, Rich Center for Autism, American Heart Association, CASA, American Diabetes Association, Junior Achievement, Help Hotline, Multiple Sclerosis Services Agency, Millcreek Children’s Center, Sojourner House, Easter Seals, YMCA of Youngstown, Ursuline HIV/IDS Ministry, Poland Interfaith Pantry and Youngstown Hearing Speech Center.
