Stambaugh hosts program on ‘Cadillac Charlie’ Cavallaro car bombing
Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday for a Youngtown Mob Talk program on the “Cadillac Charlie” Cavallaro car bombing.
Cavallaro and his young son, Tommy, were killed in the 1962 car bombing. The program at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, feature co-hosts James Naples and Johnny Chechitelli along with Cavallaro’s son, Charlie Cavallaro Jr., who was badly injured in the blast, and Cecil Moses, the last surviving FBI agent who worked the case.
Also planned is a VIP dinner at 5 p.m. before the show that will be emceed by jazz musician Jimmy Mulidore, who grew up with the Naples brothers in Youngstown and went on to a music career in Las Vegas, where he backed such entertainers as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand.
