Butler readies 51st Arts & Crafts event

The 51st American Holiday Arts & Crafts Show takes place this weekend at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown.

More than 60 artists and crafts people will be selling and displaying a wide variety of handcrafted items, including paintings, photography, jewelry, ceramics and woodworking.

Entertainment is planned both days. Saturday’s lineup features Erie Heights Brass Ensemble at 11 a.m., North Easterly Wind Quintet at noon and Ed Madej at 1 p.m.

Sunday’s performers include a piano, guitar and bass group at 11:30 a.m. and Gina Boynoli’s Suzuki violin students at 12:30 p.m. Sunday’s activities all will include appraisals by the Bonfoey Company from Cleveland and Harry Hofmeister Auctioneer from Salem.

Face painting will be offered both days.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Butler, 524 Wick Ave., Youngstown, with a members-only preview on Friday. Admission is $5 for adults with children 12 and younger admitted free.
