JCC offers summer artistic workshops

The Paul and Yetta Gluck School of Visual Arts at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown is offering a variety of art workshops this summer.

A watercolor screen printing workshop for ages 7 to 17 will meet 6 p.m. Wednesday. Participants will learn about the screen printing process and create one-of-a-kind prints with watercolors and silkscreens.

A ceramic hanging vase workshop for ages 12 and older will be 5 p.m. July 7 and 21. Participants will create unique wall-hanging vases with ceramic clay and glazes.

A polymer clay jewelry workshop for ages 10 and older will be at noon July 10. Participants will design and craft their own necklace and earrings.

A fairies, gnomes and dragons workshop for youths 10 and older will be 6 p.m. Aug. 10 and 17. Participants will use air dry clay and recycled objects to create their own fantasy world.

A mixed media abstract collage workshop for all ages will be 5 p.m. Aug. 18. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will combine various art materials to create a masterpiece. Materials will be provided or participants may bring their own.
