WCMA season closes with magical ending

WARREN — Illusionist Rick Thomas will close Warren Civic Music Association’s 2021-22 season at Packard Music Hall.

Thomas has won some of the most prestigious awards in his field, including magician of the year from the Academy of Magical Arts and illusionist of the world from the World Magic Awards.

He has appeared on NBC’s “The World’s Greatest Magic” and had his own special on ABC. He’s also been seen on the CW, MTV, FOX, TLC, Animal Planet and the History Channel.

Thomas has performed on Broadway as part of “The Illusionists — Turn of the Century” and has performed in more than 50 countries, headlining venues ranging from Caesars Colosseum to the Sydney Opera House in Australia. In Las Vegas he has performed as many as 600 shows in a single year, and he will spend most of 2022 performing in Branson, Mo.

Thomas will perform 7 p.m. Wednesday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Single tickets are $40 and available at the Packard box office and through Ticketmaster. Seating is general admission, and doors open at 6 p.m.
