Al Stewart, Motown tribute set for Robins

Robins Theatre announced upcoming shows featuring Al Stewart and a tribute to Motown.

The Scotland-born Stewart had several hits in the late ’70s, including “Year of the Cat,” “Time Passages,” “Song on the Radio,” “Midnight Rocks” and “On the Border.” He will be backed by his band, the Empty Pockets.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. May 21 show range from $29 to $49 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at the Robins box office and online at www.robinstheatre.com.

“A Salute to Motown: All the Hits” is a tribute to the Detroit Record label and will include songs by The Temptations, The Supremes, Mary Wells, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Stevie Wonder, Martha & The Vandellas, Marvin Gaye and others.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. March 26 show range from $15 to $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at the same locations.
