YWCA history presented
“The History of the Local YWCAs” will be the topic of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next Bites and Bits of History online video presentation.
Leah Merritt, president and CEO of YWCA Mahoning Valley, and Cryshanna A. Jackson Leftwich, an associate professor of public affairs and politics at Youngstown State University, will discuss how the YWCA developed in this area and the organization’s history of advocacy for social equity and racial justice for women, girls and marginalized groups.
The program will be available starting at noon May 20 on the MVHS YouTube channel.
