Polish Youngstown plans pre-Lent celebration
YOUNGSTOWN — Polish Youngstown will celebrate its pre-Lent carnival season at two locations on Tuesday.
Paczki party locations this year are Kravitz Delicatessen in Liberty and Casual Pint in Boardman. Both locations will have paczki — a rich, doughnut-like pastry — with apricot, custard, lekvar / plum, poppy seed, rose hip jam, plain sugared and the PYTown Paczek (half rose hip jam and half custard). The food truck Babcia’s Lunchbox will be at Casual Pint with Polish food specialties, and Polish beers will be available at both locations.
