Mr. and Mrs. William Becherer Jr. of Poland are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Becherer, to Kent Paulini, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Paulini of Salem.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Poland Seminary High School and Westminster College, with a master’s degree in education. She is an elementary school teacher in the Boardman Local School District.

Mr. Paulini graduated from Salem High School, The Ohio State University and Kent State University. He is an elementary school teacher and head varsity soccer coach in the Salem City School District.

The couple are planning a fall wedding to be held at Holy Family Church in Poland.
