Richard and Marilyn Carr of North Lima are celebrating 50 years of marriage today, March 21, 2021.

Richard and the former Marilyn Bartholomew were married March 21, 1971, at the North Lima Mennonite Church, officiated by her father, Pastor Richard Bartholomew.

They have lived in North Lima where Richard farmed for more than 50 years. Marilyn is retired from teaching at Wellsville High School.

The couple have three children, Rocky (Hope) of North Lawrence, Randy (Deanne) of Corry, Pa., and Marla (Christopher) Freitag of Tipp City. They also have 16 grandchildren.

The occasion was marked on March 14, 2021, at the North Lima Mennonite Church. Following comments by Pastor Bob Wengerd, a prayer of blessing was given by Pastor Richard Bartholomew.
