Dr. John and Paula Jakubek of Poland are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Joy Olivia Jakubek, to Ian Thomas Knepshield, son of David and Bethann Knepshield of Ford City, Pa.

The bride-elect, of Pittsburgh, is a magna cum laude graduate of Duquesne University, where she received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015. She is the pharmacy practice supervisor at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Knepshield is a 2013 graduate of Augustana College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is a sales representative for Philips Respironics in Pittsburgh.

The couple will be united in marriage during a late summer wedding ceremony to be held at St. Maron’s Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and a reception to be held at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center.
