LISBON — Author and local ministry co-founder Coria Brock, who moved to Lisbon from Hong Kong after a miraculous healing experience, is visiting area churches to share her testimony and promote her latest devotional book series.

Between writing her books and touring local church services and events sharing her story, Brock has never let a language barrier get in the way.

“People don’t understand when I’m talking but today, I have six books written in English,” Brock said. “Thirteen years of devotional online writing and speaking in the church in English.”

Her newest books are part of the “Being Fruitful” series consisting of 90-day devotionals to help cover an entire year of devoted life to Him. “Spring” and “Summer” are available now, with “Fall” and “Winter” in the works. Each of the books includes scripture, testimonials and coloring pages to help bring life to daily faith.

“The second year I believed in Jesus, he took me to the Philippines on a mission trip,” Brock said.

“He gave me a question and told me that there is a book He will have me write called ‘My Life is His Testimony.'”

In that first book, Brock wrote “I could not understand the cruelty of this world, or why I even needed to endure it until I came to know Christ, and my understanding was changed.”

When she isn’t busy writing, Brock also serves as a host on Life with Christ Ministries “Changed Person” series. This video series, among others, helps local believers and followers of the Lord share their story and mindset about how they live their lives.

She is also a co-founder of Life with Christ Ministries in Lisbon with her husband, Christopher.

Brock found Jesus in 2010 during a difficult time in her life and knew that she would need to leave Hong Kong once the time was right.

“I was a 38-year-old single mom who was paralyzed, and God miraculously healed me,” Brock said. “Then He showed me that I will marry a man that could prepare for me and that came from overseas and when he shows up, I will need to leave the homeland and go with him,” she added.

Within the next few years, Brock met her husband and moved across the Pacific Ocean to Lisbon.

Brock expressed the importance of people locally and around the country using their voice to honor God.

“I want to see once again that American people will have a fire to meet and know that God is real and powerful in their life,” Brock said.

“When I first came to America, people told me that God was not speaking anymore, healing anymore or doing miracles anymore,” she added. “But I know God is alive and that a life without Christ is empty and darkness.”

“All that God has asked me and the ministry to do is stoke the fire,” Brock said.
